5 Top Hollywood Movies That Showed Nigeria




Our lovely country Nigeria has been the buzz and Giant of Africa for a really long time now and it doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon. Nigeria Making movie debuts is no longer a new thing. A lot of top Hollywood movies in recent times past have depicted Nigeria in sometimes good but mostly bad light.
The truth is that whether good or bad, Hollywood has several times recognized Nigeria in a lot of movies they produced and have even made reference to its location like lagos, Abuja or bayelsa for example, its people and culture.

5. X-Men Origins (The Wolverine)
The movie Wolverine is a top 2009 American superhero film which was based on the Marvel Comics fictional character called Wolverine.
Around the the beginning of the X-Men Origins , they showed was a scene that the General’s crew went to a location they called Lagos, Nigeria and in the scene they showed people with diamonds.


04. The Bourne Identity
Bourne Identity movie was released 2002. An American-German spy action thriller film which was adapted from Robert Ludlum’s novel of the same name. It features Matt Damon as Jason.

The Cursed Ones released 2016 is a British film that was directed by Nana Obiri Yeboah and then produced by Nicholas K. Lory.
The storyline of the movie is that of a disillusioned reporter and an idealistic young pastor, who both fight to liberate a girl accused of practicing witchcraft from the claws of a system of corruption and superstition in the heart of West Africa.


02.  Tears Of The Sun
Tears of the sun released in 2003 is an American action war drama film which depicts a U.S. Navy SEAL team rescue mission amidst the past civil war in Nigeria.
Waters (who was Bruce Willis) commanded the team sent to rescue U.S. citizen Dr. Lena Fiore Kendricks (who was Monica Bellucci) from the civil war en route to her jungle hospital.
